On your trip you will explore the 7 continents. Because you will be busy and be drenched in knowledge, do not forget to take your passport on each stop and keep a daily journal to chronicle your journey. You will visit one stop per day, and explore various artifacts in each stop. You must apply for your passport stamp at each stop. You will receive your green stamp by answering 70% of the questions correctly. 80% of questions earn you a blue stamp and 90% or higher earn you a gold stamp and you will be on your way to being a world traveler guru.
Day One: Take off-Prepare for your Journey: Get your Passport together, take flight and make your initial journal entry. In a world as vast as ours, take a moment and think-What would you pack? What would you feel? What would you see? Who is with you? What are you excited about? What are you anxious about? Imagine you land in a country where no one speaks English. How will you communicate? What will you eat? What animals will you see? Organize your journal entry in a way that purposefully tells a story. For example: You could compare and contrast another place to home. You could describe the airplane journey. You could write about the problems you would encounter with language barriers and the solutions you propose to overcome the problem. Stay on topic. Use adjectives, details and personal experience (real or fake...its your trip!) to hook the reader and make your entry interesting. (Your initial journal entry should be at least one page in length, it can be longer. It must be written in complete sentences with proper punctuation. Spelling will count if it hinders my ability to understand what you are writing It is a personal journal and a rough draft so there is no formal editing.)
Day Two-Four: One stop per day. Pick a Continent and make a stop. Get to know the artifacts and when your ready: Apply for for your passport stamp. Once you have received your stamp; make your daily entry in your travel journal. To help focus your writing, a daily prompt is posted at the top of each travel page. Of course you are free to write beyond what is given, but be sure to completely answer what is given to you first.
